Wine Theme Park in France
La Cité Du Vin à BORDEAUX
Paris may have the Eiffel Tower and Disneyland, but if you want an authentic French theme park, head down to Bordeaux instead.
La Cité du Vin, or “The City of Wine,” may lack thrill rides, but you can still get dizzy here. “The City of Wine”, offers 20 themed areas exploring the history and culture of wine, along with workshops and a simulated boat ride.
Bordeaux, of course, is one of the premiere wine regions in France, although a bit remote,France launched two high-speed rail lines to the region last year. They areable to offer a rich and varied cultural programme throughout the year and transmit the age-old culture of wine to the greatest possible number, helping to protect this intangible and universal heritage. It offers a spectacular voyage around the world, through the ages, in all cultures and for all audiences.
There aren't any zero-to-60 roller coasters or 20-story drops, but the destination's not completely without thrills. Eight hundred varieties of wine from 70 different countries are stored at La Cité du Vin's restaurant. They're all available for tasting and ordering. Plus there are 20 wine themed sections and exhibits. Even the building's design speaks to what's inside: The twisted metal structure is supposed to evoke wine swirling around a glass…
